  • Elaine Allard Among Montreal-Area Athletes To Receive Diamond Jubilee Medal

    Elaine Allard(Montreal, QC) The Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees are proud to announce that Montreal-area London 2012 athletes, including wheelchair basketball athlete Elaine Allard, will be receiving the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in Montreal on Thursday, February 28, 2013.

    Allard competed in her first Paralympic Games in London in 2012. The Canadian Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team placed sixth.

    In addition, the CPC and the COC will be presenting additional Diamond Jubilee Medals to individuals who have helped grow the Olympic and Paralympic movements in Canada. The recipients of the medals are:
