David Eng Named 2009 CWSA Male Athlete of the Year

Canadian Sr. Men's National Team athlete David Eng (Montreal, QC) was named the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association (CWSA) 2009 Male Athlete of the Year. Eng enjoyed a tremendous season in which he was a standout player in most games he competed.
 
As a member of the National Team Eng helped Canada qualify for 2010 World Championships with a Silver Medal performance at the 2009 Americas Cup. He also won a silver medal at the Rollers World Challenge in Australia.
 
Eng excelled at the domestic level as well - he was named tournament MVP at and helped the Quebec Provincial Team to a Silver medal at the Canadian Wheelchair Basketball National Championships. Quebec also finished 1st at Défi Sportif  and Eng was named MVP at the Quebec provincial championships.


His club team les Gladiateurs de Laval took home bronze and Eng was selected as an all-star at the Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) Open Finals.
