Minister of State for Sport Gary Lunn Joins Team Canada in Ottawa
Minister Lunn took advantage of the opportunity to try out wheelchair basketball and impressed the Team with his skill and athleticism as he easily navigated his chair toward the basket and sunk a flawless lay-up. Canada is looking for their 5th straight World Championship Title. They are currently spending the week training at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario. It will be their final training location prior to traveling overseas for the World Championships.
(Ottawa, Ontario) - The Honourable Gary Lunn, Minister of State for Sport visited the members of the Sr. Canadian Women's National Team Tuesday at Algonquin College, where the team is training this week, and presented them with a special gift - a wooden box
containing a Canadian flag from Parliament Hill. He offered the Team some words of encouragement and wished them luck at the upcoming 2010 World Wheelchair
Basketball Championships in Birmingham, England
