The [Women's U25 National Team] is the latest addition to the Canadian High Performance Program.  The 2011 Women's U25 National Team is Canada's first-ever female squad for this age group and features a collection of talented newcomers from across the country.

These up-and-coming elite athletes showcased their talents on home soil at the inaugural Women's U25 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships in July 2011.  The unprecedented event was the first-ever World Championships for this age group. Team Canada placed 4th at the tournament.

The Canadian Women's U25 National Team is a product of the [Women's Espoir Program].  The Espoir program helps to provide female athletes with increased opportunities to develop their skills and compete with the potential to play internationally.  The Women's Espoir and Men's Futures Programs are designed to help foster the next generation of elite wheelchair basketball athletes.
