Mattamy Athletic Centre
Wheelchair Basketball Canada strongly believes in the power of sport to enhance health, strengthen community and improve quality of life. Our vision to be the world leader in our sport compels us to encourage all Canadians, with and without a disability, to compete together on a level playing field and reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Support Wheelchair Basketball Canada and join us for Hoopfest, a fun and inclusive 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball tournament that raises funds to support opportunities that encourage young Canadian athletes to be active, be included, and be empowered to pursue their own individual excellence.
Hoopfest participants will experience the thrill and challenge of playing 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball and have the opportunity to receive coaching tips from Team Canada athletes and coaching staff. Teams will also have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction and win prizes.
The tournament features 16 participating teams (4-6 players per team) and each team will play 5 games (3 round robin and 2 playoff games). Games will be 10 minutes in length and played on a half-court. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony to recognize the top three teams.

Impact of Your Generosity
Your generous support empowers future generations of Canadian athletes to learn and grow within the sport from playground to podium.
The funds raised at Hoopfest will support the Wheelchair Basketball Canada Futures Program. The Futures Program is an education and mentorship initiative designed to:
- Support and encourage young Canadian athletes with a disability to achieve their dreams through full participation in wheelchair basketball;
- Unlock individual potential and foster development both as an athlete and as a person;
- Inspire athletes to become leaders in their communities, both on and off the basketball court.
You can make a difference in the lives of young Canadian athletes.
Wheelchair Basketball Canada invites corporations to get even more involved with Hoopfest by becoming an official event partner. Opportunities include becoming a presenting partner of the event and sponsoring a court, among others.
The benefits include:
- Recognition on digital platforms, including website and social media, and print publications, such as event marketing collateral and the Wheelchair Basketball Canada annual report;
- Exclusive courtside signage for Hoopfest court partners;
- Verbal recognition at Hoopfest;
- Onsite display space to promote corporate products or services.
