(Toronto, Ont.) Wheelchair Basketball Canada is now accepting applications for press accreditation from members of the media for the 2014 Women’s World Wheelchair Basketball Championship from June 20-28, 2014 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto.
The tournament is the largest women’s world championship in the history of the sport and features 12 competing team. Team Canada will be pursuing a record-setting seventh straight podium performance during the championship. The tournament will also mark the first time the women’s championship has been held separately from the men’s since 1994.
Media seeking accreditation are invited to fill out the press accreditation form available on the official event website www.2014wheelchairbasketball.com by Friday, June 6, 2014. Accreditation is reserved for members of the press i.e. journalists, print media, photographers, radio, TV and news agencies. Those seeking accreditation must be employed or contracted by a media organization. Accreditation will grant media access designated media areas, including the mixed zone and a media work room.
