Team Canada Player Abdi Dini Featured in Sport Chek’s #MyNorth Campaign

(Scarborough, Ont.) Team Canada wheelchair basketball player and Scarborough native Abdi Dini is the latest athlete to be featured in Sport Chek’s #MyNorth campaign.

Dini is a two-time Paralympic medalist after capturing a gold medal for Team Canada at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and a silver medal at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. He has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2008.

The #MyNorth campaign is part of a strategic partnership between Sport Chek and the Toronto Raptors to celebrate the basketball scene in the Greater Toronto Area. Every day on basketball courts across the city, games are won and lost, bonds are made, heroes are born and stories are created. The creative #MyNorth campaign aims to unite nine of Toronto’s neighbourhoods – Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, North York, York, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Scarborough and Toronto – by spotlighting and sharing authentic stories and court culture under the banner #MyNorth.
