Cindy Ouellet Awarded Corus Media Leadership Bursary at the 2015 Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence Spring Cocktail Celebration

(Ottawa, Ont.) Wheelchair Basketball Canada would like to congratulate senior women’s national team member, Cindy Ouellet, on receiving the Corus Media Leadership bursary at the 2015 Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) 30th annual Spring Cocktail celebration. The Quebec City native was honoured for her extraordinary leadership skills both on and off the court, as well as the widespread impact her involvement has had.

Cindy captained the University of Alabama to a gold medal at the 2015 National Intercollegiate Championship (NIWBT). A member of the 2014 World Championship gold-medal winning Canadian team, Cindy is a hopeful to represent Team Canada at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games.

Cindy is currently completing her Masters in Kinesiology at the University of Alabama. In her spare time, Cindy works to develop other sports adapted for people with physical disabilities such as boxing and CrossFit. Congratulations Cindy.
