Another day, another two wins for the Sr. Men’s wheelchair basketball team as Team Canada continue their perfect form at the 2012 Continental Clash tournament.

The morning match featured Canada and Great Britain’s B-Team, though the Brit’s Tier II side showed more vim and vigour than the display of the A-Team on Day #1 against the powerful Canadians (Canada defeated Great Britain’s A-Team 78-46). Once again, Pat Anderson showed why he’s considered to be the best wheelchair basketball player in the world. The Ontarian dropped 28 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and shot 12/16 from the floor to lead Canada to a 59-45 victory. Anderson had a solid cast of secondary help, as ten different Canadian players scored points in the game.

Canada’s afternoon match proved to be their toughest of the tournament so far. With renewed passion, Spain brought Canada to the brink of defeat, only narrowly losing out the the Canadians 66-59. David Eng was Canada’s top player – the Quebec powerhouse drained 23 points, nabbed 11 boards, and shot 10/16 from the floor. Alajandro Zarzuela played an outstanding game for the Spain, leading his team with 25 points and 12 rebounds.

With two more victories, Canada now has a record of 4-0, and will look to end the tournament with another victory tomorrow. Canada closes out the tournament against host Great Britain tomorrow evening
