Wheelchair Basketball Canada Welcomes Lindsay Crone and Cori Droogh to the Organization

 

Wheelchair Basketball Canada(Ottawa, Ont.) Wheelchair Basketball Canada is pleased to welcome two new additions to the organization as Lindsay Crone joins the team as Communications Coordinator and Cori Droogh steps into the role of Special Project Coordinator.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay and Cori to the Wheelchair Basketball Canada family,” said Executive Director Wendy Gittens. “Their enthusiasm and experience will be definite assets as we strengthen our efforts in the areas of communications and special projects, all while working towards our vision of being the world leader in wheelchair basketball.”

Both Crone and Droogh will work out of the national office in Ottawa, Ont., as they transition from the soccer pitch to the hardcourt.

Crone will work closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager to increase sport and brand awareness and enhance relationships with key internal and external audiences. She will primarily be taking a lead in the area of digital communications, which includes managing the organization’s website and social media channels.

Crone holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Marketing from Carleton University. She recently worked as a Grassroots Marketing Coordinator with Canada Soccer and as a Marketing Manager with the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club in Ottawa, Ont.

Droogh will work alongside the Executive Director on various special projects to contribute to the overall success of the organization. She will assist in the areas of fund development and event planning, among others.

She most recently worked as the Administration Coordinator for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 and is a former intern at Own the Podium. She is a graduate of the Sport Business Management and the Fitness and Health Promotion programs at Algonquin College.
