Wheelchair Basketball Canada Launches 2014-15 Application Phase for Special Project Funding

(Ottawa, Ont.) Wheelchair Basketball Canada invites provincial sport organizations and clubs across Canada apply for the 2014-15 phase of Special Project Funding.

Funding is available for projects that occur between April 1st, 2014 and March 31st, 2015.

Special Project Funding focuses on the early stages of the Wheelchair Basketball Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, specifically First Contact/Recruitment up to the Train to Train stage, in addition to the Competitive/Active for Life stages.

Applications for Special Project Funding are due by email to Catherine Ireland by end of day August 15, 2014. Late applications will not be considered.

Wheelchair Basketball Canada is committed to providing ample opportunities and support for all Clubs and Provincial Sport Organizations across Canada. In an attempt to provide leadership and resources to increase measurable growth in the participation base, as well as develop opportunities that will encourage appropriate and relevant participation and competition, the organization dedicates financial resources for Special Project Funding that Clubs and Provincial Sport Organizations can apply for annually.
