WBC announces dates for Hoopfest presented by Toyota Canada

  • Hoopfest Toronto presented by Toyota Canada Dec. 5 at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre
  • Hoopfest Ottawa presented by Toyota Canada Dec. 12 at Collège La Cité

Wheelchair Basketball Canada’s signature fundraising event, Hoopfest, presented by Toyota Canada, returns for two holiday-themed editions in December. Hoopfest Toronto will take place Thursday, December 5, at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, followed by Hoopfest Ottawa on December 12 at Collège La Cité.

Hoopfest is a dynamic, half-day, 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball tournament designed as a unique and impactful team-building opportunity for corporate and community teams. Participants will experience the thrill of playing wheelchair basketball in a fun and inclusive environment. Teams will also enjoy a small reception featuring light food, drinks, and socializing.

Teams of 4-5 players can now register for either event, with early bird pricing available until November 5 (Toronto) and November 12 (Ottawa). The registration fee is $2,100 per team, a $400 savings from the regular price of $2,500. All proceeds from Hoopfest will go towards expanding opportunities for Canadians to experience the life-changing benefits of wheelchair basketball, with a focus on grassroots programming and youth development.

Since its inception, Hoopfest has raised over $100,000 in support of wheelchair basketball initiatives across Canada.
