26 for 26 Club

Wheelchair Basketball Canada and the Ottawa2026 organizing committee have launched a new partnership program leading up to the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships, taking place in Ottawa, September 9–19, 2026.

The 26 for 26 Club is an initiative designed to bring together 26 forward-thinking companies and individuals to support the Ottawa2026 Wheelchair Basketball World Championships. Corporate and individual members will benefit from unique opportunities for business development, networking, and marketing leading up to Ottawa2026, as well as enhanced brand visibility, corporate VIP hosting, and employee engagement during the event in September 2026. Members of the club will join a global movement and solidify their position as leaders in inclusivity.

Hosted for the first time in Canada, the 2026 Wheelchair Basketball World Championships is the world’s largest team sport event for high-performance athletes with disabilities. This prestigious tournament will showcase eye-opening athleticism, tenacity, and perseverance, featuring the top wheelchair basketball athletes on the planet.

The event will include 28 teams (16 men’s and 12 women’s), 336 athletes, and 1,200 participants. It will captivate tens of thousands of spectators and hundreds of thousands of viewers worldwide, ultimately inspiring millions to embrace a more inclusive world.

By joining the 26 for 26 Club, you will help us achieve our vision, break barriers, enhance inclusivity, and demonstrate the power of sport to move people.
