2018 CWBL Women’s National Championship To Be Held in Vancouver, BC, 2018 Junior National Championship in Longueuil, QC. Call For Hosting Bids for 2018 CWBL National Championship

(Ottawa, Ont.) All of the fast-paced, hard-hitting action of the Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) arrives in Vancouver April 6-8 when the top female club teams in the country compete in the 2018 CWBL Women’s National Championship at the Richmand Oval. The BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) will host the event.

Longueuil, QC will play host to the 2018 Junior National Championships from March 16 – 18, 2018. The best-on-best junior domestic tournament will be hosted by Parasports Quebec at the Centre sportif du cégep Édouard-Montpetit. The junior event acts as the seeding tournament for the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alta.

“We are pleased to have these prestigious events showcase the premiere talent and athleticism that the sport of wheelchair basketball has to offer across the country,” said Wheelchair Basketball Canada Executive Director Wendy Gittens.

Wheelchair Basketball Canada is also pleased to announce a call for formal bids to host the 2018 CWBL National Championship. The CWBL National Championship features competitive club teams from across Canada as they compete for the title of national champion.

The deadline to submit bids for event is August 24, 2017.
