CANADIAN MEN’S AND WOMEN’S WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL TEAMS AVAILABLE AT INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES IN TORONTO ON THE ROAD TO LIMA 2019 PARAPAN AM GAMES

(TORONTO, ONT.) Paralympians and Lima 2019 hopefuls from the Canadian Men’s and Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team programs will be available to media at the Toronto Pan Am Sport Centre (TPASC) at two international friendlies taking place in June.

The Canadian teams will play a pair of exhibition games at TPASC in June with the Canadian Women hosting the world number one ranked Netherlands June 13 at 7:20 p.m. ET, and the Canadian Men competing against Argentina, June 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The exhibition games are important tests for the Canadian teams on the road to the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games in August. The Canadian Women must finish top two, and the Canadian men top three, to earn berths into the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
