Lima 2019 Canadian Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team available to media in Montreal

(August 12, 2019 – MONTREAL, QUE.) The Canadian Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team for the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games will be available to media August 14, 2019 in Montreal where they are holding their final training camp before departing for Peru.

The team will be practicing on court from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. ET. The practice is open to the media and journalists are invited to capture visuals and interview athletes and coaches courtside at the end of their scheduled training time. Interviews can also be scheduled throughout the day.

The Canadian Women’s Team will compete in the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games Aug. 23 to Sept. 1, and must finish top two, while the Canadian Men’s Team must finish top three to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

The roster features five Francophone athletes including co-captain Cindy Ouellet of Quebec City, Paralympians Maude Jacques of Lac-Beauport, and Rosalie Lalonde of Saint-Clet, as well Élodie Tessier of Saint-Germain-de-Grantham, and Sandrine Bérubé of Beauharnois.
