Montreal to host 2022 CWBL National Championship

Tournament runs April 15-17 at the Centre Pierre Charbonneau

All of the fast-paced, hard-hitting action of the Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) arrives in Montreal, Que. April 15-17, when the top club teams from across the country compete in two divisions at the 2022 CWBL National Championship at the Centre Pierre Charbonneau.

Media and fans are invited to witness all of the skill and athleticism that make wheelchair basketball one of the most popular adaptive sports in the world. The competition begins on the morning of Friday, April 15, 2022, when the Les Glaciers tip-off against athletes representing New Brunswick and Manitoba. The tournament concludes with the gold medal games on Sunday, April 17, 2022.

Teams will compete for the title of national champion in two divisions. The tournament also features current and former national team athletes, including several hopefuls to represent Team Canada at this summer’s Americas Cup.

The event is governed by Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) and presented by Parasports Quebec.

Those attending are asked to wear a mask while at the venue and may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the facility protocol.
