The draw for the preliminary round groups of the World Wheelchair Basketball Championships took place this afternoon in the host city of Hamburg, Germany.

The Canadian men’s team is in Group A with Morocco, Iran, and Germany. The Canadian women’s team is in Group A with Spain, Great Britain, Brazil, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The event will take place from August 16–26, 2018 at the Wilhelmsburger Inselparkarena in Hamburg, Germany. Sixteen men’s teams and 12 women’s teams will compete for the title of world champions.
