Twelve athletes will participate in the camp and compete at the Toronto Invitational

(OTTAWA, Ont.) – Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) has announced 12 athletes selected for the Senior Men’s National Team training camp, set for July 8-14 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Scarborough, Ont.

The seven-day camp will bring together members of Canada’s National Team as preparations continue for the 2026 IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships.

“This camp is another important step as we continue building toward the World Championships on home soil,” said Jeff Dunbrack, WBC High Performance Director. “The opportunity to train together and compete against three world-class opponents will help us continue developing our identity and preparing for the challenges ahead.”

In addition to on-court training, video sessions and performance meetings, Team Canada will compete in the Toronto Invitational against Australia, Italy and the United States in a series of exhibition games, offering a significant international test ahead of the World Championships.
