Team Canada’s schedule unveiled for Commonwealth Games

The men tip-off on Friday while the women get going on Saturday

The Canadian men’s and women’s Wheelchair Basketball teams begin play at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, on Friday, July 29.

Wheelchair Basketball is making its debut at the Commonwealth Games and will be played in the 3-on-3 format at Smithfield.

The Canadian men will play in Group B and get the tournament started on Friday at 3:20 p.m. ET against Australia and face Northern Ireland on Saturday at 3:20 pm. ET.

On the women’s side, Team Canada is in Group A and tips off against Kenya at 11:45 a.m. ET on Saturday morning. Canada then plays England on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. ET.

The men’s and women’s semifinals will be played on Monday, Aug. 1.

Friday, July 29: Canada vs Australia 3:20 p.m. ET
Saturday, July 30: Northern Ireland vs Canada 3:20 p.m. ET

Women:
