Vaughan City Lasher’s Host First Tournament of 2012-13 Season

(Vaughan, ON) The Vaughan City Lasher’s wheelchair basketball team will host it’s first tournament of the season on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Vellore Village Community Centre. The tournament features three teams: the Kitchener Twin City Spinners, the Burlington Vipers, and the Vaughan City Lasher’s.

All three teams compete in the Great Lakes Conference of the Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL). Kitchener will play Vaughan at 3pm, Burlington will face Kitchener at 4:30pm and Vaughan will play Burlington at 6pm.

The Vaughan City Lasher’s, named in memory of former National Team Player David Lash, honour that stars memory every time they go on court. The Lasher’s logo bears the imagery of David Lash and will forever immortalize a friend and teammate.
