Holiday team celebrations are a great way to bring your team together. Integrating team-building activities into your holiday party can help increase morale and reduce burnout, all while having fun!
WBC is in the business of building winning Paralympic and World Champion teams. Our coaches deliver high-energy sessions that foster inclusion and teamwork to our athletes as part of our coaching program.
WBC’s Holiday Hoopfest is designed to help cultivate a company culture where every voice is welcomed, heard, and respected by offering participants a new and unique perspective on work and life. In addition, the experience promotes a deeper understanding and appreciation for the potential of all individuals, which fosters increased engagement and productivity.
Our Event
Join us for Holiday Hoopfest, a fun and inclusive 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball tournament that raises funds to support opportunities encouraging young Canadian athletes to be active, included, and empowered! Hoopfest participants will experience the thrill and challenge of playing while Olympic medal-winning coaches cheer them on.
How it Works
Corporate Teams of 4-5 people compete in a fun round-robin wheelchair basketball tournament. The final two winning teams compete for the title of Holiday Hoopfest Champion.
The tournament features up to 16 participating teams (4-5 players per team) in a round-robin tournament. Games will be 10 minutes in length and played on a half-court. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony to recognize the top three teams.

Impact of Your Generosity
Your generous support empowers future generations of Canadian athletes to learn and grow within the sport from playground to podium. The funds raised at Hoopfest will support Wheelchair Basketball Canada athletes to participate in programs to become leaders in their communities on and off the basketball court.
More specifically, the funds raised during this event will directly:
- Support and encourage young Canadian athletes with a disability to achieve their dreams through full participation in wheelchair basketball.
- Unlock individual potential and foster development as an athlete and person.
- Inspire athletes to become leaders in their communities on and off the basketball court.
You can make a difference in the lives of young Canadian athletes.
