High-Fiving Outstanding Canadians Who Make A Difference
Thursday, April 15 – National High Five Day 

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to drastically impact the lives of Canadians from coast to coast to coast, Hollister Inc. and Wheelchair Basketball Canada are joining forces to celebrate the inspiring efforts and resilient stories of individuals and organizations in the community who are working to improve lives and champion inclusion during these challenging times.

Coinciding with National High Five Day on April 15, 2021, the two organizations will host the Hollister & Wheelchair Basketball Canada Community Celebration – a virtual event to recognize outstanding Canadians making a difference in their communities through the power of sport.

Nominations

Under the banners of inclusion and resilience, we encourage Canadians to nominate outstanding individuals and organizations by March 19, 2021 for a virtual high five in the following categories:

Inspiring Stories of Inclusion:

Business of the Year High Five

Presented to a business who had a positive impact on inclusion, within Canada, in 2020. Examples might include – a business who launched a funding program designed to inspire others to embrace inclusion, a business who made physical changes to their facility and/or workplace that better fosters inclusion, a business that created an inclusive recruitment strategy, a business who partnered with an underserved organization with the goal to spotlight inclusion.

Community Builder or Organization High Five

Presented to an individual, business, foundation, charity, or group who had a positive impact on inclusion, within Canada, in 2020. Examples might include – a funding organization that offered a new and/or meaningful inclusion themed grant, an individual who raised money for or put a spotlight on a charity working to improve inclusion, a school group raising funds and awareness of inclusion, a group who started a social media movement with the goal to spotlight inclusion.

Storytelling in Media High Five

Presented to a journalist, media personality or media outlet who had a positive impact on inclusion storytelling, within Canada, in 2020.

Presented to a social media influencer who had a positive impact on inclusion storytelling, within Canada, in 2020. This nomination may include Covid-19 themed submissions.
