Elise Froese
Biography:
Elise Froese was an avid stand-up basketball and volleyball athlete in school; however, by the time she reached Grade 7, the osteochondral defect (OCD) in her leg had progressed to the point she had to look for alternatives.
The potential in wheelchair basketball led the Victoria, B.C. native to give the game a chance.
Froese made her Team Canada debut with the Women’s Under-25 team at the 2023 U25 Women’s World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.
Off the court, Froese is studying pastoral theology at Summit Pacific College in Abbotsford, B.C.

2023: 1st place with Team BC at Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, P.E.I…6th place finish with Team Canada at the 2023 U25 Women’s World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand… 1st place finish with Zone 6 at the BC Winter Games… 2nd place with Team BC at the CWBL Women’s National Championship in Montreal… Competed at the CWBL Nationals with the BC Grizzlies in Richmond, B.C.
