Wheelchair basketball returns to the Commonwealth Games this July in Glasgow in the 3×3 format. Making its Commonwealth Games debut in 2022 at the Birmingham Games, 3×3 wheelchair basketball will return with eight confirmed competing teams and multiple bipartite invitational slots available across both the men’s and women’s categories.

Glasgow 2026 will feature a streamlined version of the Commonwealth Games, showcasing 10 core sports and six fully integrated parasports. The 2026 Commonwealth Games will feature over 3,000 athletes representing up to 74 nations and territories worldwide.

The Commonwealth Games are the only multi-sport event with equal standing for sport and parasport events. Additionally, the 2026 Games will feature the same number of medal events for men and women (105 each) for just the second time in the history of the Games!
