Josh Davies
Biography:
Josh Davies first found the sport of wheelchair basketball through the Thames Valley Children’s Centre in London, Ont.
He got his start playing with the junior program in his hometown of London, securing the London Forest City Flyers 3 podium finishes in the Ontario Parasport Games in 2008, 2010 and 2012. He progressed to provincial competition, helping Team Ontario snag second place at the 2011 Canada Games in Halifax, N.S.
Davies was named a 2013 alternate on the junior Canadian national team. He sees the potential to compete for Canada as an opportunity to represent all the players and coaches who helped him along his path to success.
Davies trains 5-6 times per week, combing his court time with weight training sessions. He says he thrives off the speed and competitiveness of the game.
Outside of basketball, Davies enjoys at little R&R at his cottage in Muskoka.
