2024 CWBL Women’s National Championship

The 2024 CWBL Women’s National Championship will take place on March 22-24 at Collège La Cité in Ottawa.

The Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) Women’s National Championship brings together women and girls from across the country to compete for the national title, celebrate female leaders, and connect with an inclusive, supportive sport community. Join us as we celebrate the inclusive nature of wheelchair basketball, welcoming athletes of all abilities to showcase their talent and passion for the game. Since its inception in 1990, Wheelchair Basketball Canada has championed this event, leaving a lasting legacy on and off the court, inspiring current, future, and past Paralympians.

Streaming

The 5-on-5 portion of the tournament will be live streamed on the WBC YouTube channel on Friday and Saturday.

RogersTV Ottawa will air the third-place and gold medal games on Sunday.

Registration Package

Participants

The tournament is open to all eligible CWBL women’s teams in Canada. Teams that wish to compete at the CWBL Women’s National Championship must notify the national office of their intent to participate by contacting Wheelchair Basketball Canada.

At this event, there will be two levels of competition as follows:

5v5 National Championship – Open to club and provincial teams playing a 5v5 format.

3×3 Recreational – Open to individuals* and teams playing a 3×3 format.

Development Clinic – Open to all female participants and Marni Abbott-Peter, Head Coach, Women’s U25 National Team, will host a development clinic from 9 AM to 11 AM on Friday, March 22nd.
