WBC Quaranteam 2020 Run | Walk | Wheel | Skate

Wheelchair basketball is a sport that MOVES people on and off the court. With the sporting world as we know it on pause, Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) invites Canadians to MOVE with us as part of our 2020 Quaranteam Virtual Run, Walk, Wheel and Skate fundraiser!

Join the Quaranteam Movement in the spirit of getting active and having fun as a collective community and help us raise awareness and support for Canada’s national wheelchair basketball teams!

By joining the Wheelchair Basketball Quaranteam, you can help us reach our collective goal of moving 2,020 km from August 21-23, 2020! We welcome everyone from coast to coast to run, walk, wheel or skate and be a part of Team Canada’s journey.

As we mark what would have been the start of the 2020 Paralympic Games – now delayed by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic – let’s rally together in support of our Canadian wheelchair basketball athletes as they navigate the uncertain road ahead in their extended quest for the podium.

The health and safety of our athletes, coaches, staff and supporters are of the utmost priority as we face the new reality created by COVID-19. As we slowly begin to return to training with the wellbeing of our teams in mind, we know there will be new challenges and additional costs ahead.

Regardless of the challenges, our athletes remain dedicated to the True Sport principles of going for it, playing fair, respecting others, keeping it fun, staying healthy, including everyone, and giving back!

Registration is open to everyone – athletes, coaches, officials, fans and their families and friends. You can pledge to complete a distance of your choice in a location of your choosing (while physically distancing, of course)!
