
Charlotte McElroy
Biography:
Charlotte McElroy was immediately hooked on wheelchair basketball the first time she had the opportunity to try the sport. McElroy was just six-years-old when she attended an event at McMaster University where she had the chance to participate in various sports.
The Hamilton, Ont. native recalls being persuaded to try wheelchair basketball at the event and has “been in the sport ever since.”
McElroy made her Team Canada debut with the Women’s Under-25 team at the 2023 U25 Women’s World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.
Off the court, McElroy hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer one day.

Career Notes
2024: 1st place with Team Ontario 2 at Junior East Championship in Montreal… Named Division 1 All-Star at Junior East Championship… 3rd place with Team Ontario at the CWBL Women’s Nationals in Ottawa.
2023: 7th place finish with Team Ontario at the Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, P.E.I… 6th place finish with Team Canada at the 2023 U25 Women’s World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand… 4th place with Team Ontario at the CWBL Women’s National Championship.
2022: 8th place finish with Team Ontario at the Junior Nationals in Charlottetown.
