Arinn Young (Legal, Alta.) led the way with a game-high 29 points and 11 rebounds. Cindy Ouellet (Quebec City, Que.) added 18 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, while Rosalie Lalonde (Saint-Clet, Que.) and Élodie Tessier (Saint-Germain de Grantham, Que.) chipped in 10 points each.

“It feels great, honestly. We wanted to go out strong against Argentina,” said Tara Llanes (North Vancouver, B.C.). “We were trying some different lineups and trying to work on some things that are a bit new to us. We’re just trying to find our rhythm right now, so we’re glad to get this one out of the way.”

The SWNT will now play in Friday’s gold medal game at 5:00 p.m. ET. Canada won gold at the 2019 Parapan American Games in Lima.

“I’m ready for anything at this point,” said Young. “I love playing this sport. I just want to have fun with the girls. It’s a pretty big moment, so hopefully, we can just play basketball.”

Canada scored 10 unanswered to close the third and led 65-26 heading into the fourth.

The SWNT out-scored Argentina 26-12 in the second quarter and led 47-20 at halftime.

Young paced Canada with 25 points, Ouellet added 12 points. Tessier and Lalonde each chipped in four points each.

Team Canada shot 45 per cent from the field through two quarters while limiting Argentina to just 7 of 30 from the field.
