SWNT to hold camp at NTC in Toronto

Twelve athletes will participate in the camp from Feb. 12-15 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre

Wheelchair Basketball Canada announced 12 athletes will participate in a Senior Women’s National Team training camp from February 12-15 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Toronto.

The four-day camp will feature a mix of on-court practices and off-court activities as the Senior Women’s National Team prepares for the 2024 Women’s IWBF Repechage Tournament in Osaka, Japan (April 17-20).

“This camp will provide our athletes and staff an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Paris Qualifier in Osaka,” said Jeff Dunbrack, Wheelchair Basketball Canada High Performance Director. “The four days will give the athletes a chance to build chemistry on and off the court as we prepare for the upcoming season.”

The IWBF Repechage Tournament is the final opportunity to qualify for the Paralympic Games. The Top 4 teams in Japan will earn a berth for the Paris Games.
