Team Canada to host the Netherlands in the Feature Game presented by Toyota Canada

The SMNT to tip-off in Feature Game at 11 a.m. ET at the Carleton University Ravens’ Nest

Team Canada’s Senior Men’s National Team will play host to the Netherlands in the Feature Game presented by Toyota Canada on Thursday, May 18, at the Carleton University Ravens’ Nest in Ottawa, Ont. The Feature Game, which will tip-off at 11 a.m. ET is free and open to the public.

The game against the Netherlands, part of the Ottawa Invitational tournament, will serve as Team Canada’s preparation for the upcoming IWBF World Championships. The IWBF World Championships (June 9-20) will see Canada’s men’s team play in Group B against Thailand, Egypt, and Germany.

Those attending the Feature Game will get the chance to see Paralympians Patrick Anderson (Fergus, Ont.), Nik Goncin (Regina, Sask.), and Bo Hedges (Wonowon, B.C.), among others. Additionally, it will be an opportunity for fans to see athletes who will represent Team Canada at both the World Championships and November’s Parapan American Games.

The Ottawa Invitational tournament, presented by Meridian Credit Union, runs May 17-21, 2023, at the Carleton University Ravens’ Nest. The five-day tournament will feature the top wheelchair basketball athletes from Canada, the Netherlands and the United States as they prepare for the upcoming IWBF World Championships.
