Call for Bids for the 2020-2023 CWBL National Championship Events & for Bids for the 2020-2022 Junior Regional Events

(Ottawa, Ont.) Wheelchair Basketball Canada is pleased to announce a call for formal bids to host the Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) Championship events in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 and to host the Junior Wheelchair Basketball events in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

We invite members to submit bids to host the CWBL National Championships and the CWBL Women’s National Championships.

The CWBL National Championship features competitive club teams from across Canada as they compete for the title of national champion.

The CWBL Women’s National Championship features competitive women’s club teams from across the country as they compete for the national title.

WBC also invites members to submit bids to host the 2020 & 2021 Junior Regional Championships (East & West) and the 2022 Junior National Championship.

The Junior National Championship takes place once every four years within the Canada Games quadrennial. The tournament takes place in year three of the cycle and doubles as the seeding tournament for the Canada Games, which take place in year four of the cycle. Two Junior Regional Championships – East and West – take place in years one and two of the cycle.

The deadline to submit bids is June 30, 2018.
